Collecting sneakers has its ups and downs. One Massachusetts man found this out the hard way early Tuesday morning. Four armed men used a crowbar to break into a back window of Shawn Raymond, the victim’s home. The men tied up Raymond along with his grandparents and younger sister as they filled trash bags with sneakers and other items. Raymond was pistol whipped, but his family was left unharmed. The victim, who has been collecting sneakers since he was 14, had a collection of over 100 pairs of shoes with prices ranging between $200-$300, according to the Enterprise. Five people, including one woman are now in custody and being dealt with by Boston PD. For more information on this story click here.
Reebok, yes you read that right, Reebok is launching their very own line of bacon to promote the 2014 Crossfit Games. I know it seems kind of weird, a shoe company making the bacon (no pun intended). But this idea has been turning heads and flaring the nostrils of bacon and sneaker lovers alike. Executive creative director at Venables Bell & Partners, Will McGinness lent a helping hand to create this project. McGinness explains the basis of the project to Hypebeast as follows: "We wanted to embrace the love of bacon and build something fun for the community, while remaining authentic to its spirit.” Well, kudos to you Reebok. Sample horderves featuring the new product were served to the public. For more information visit Reebok.

Last Weekend's Jordan Brand First To Fly event in Las Vegas, Nevada prompted several notable celebrities to the city. One of which was singer/actress/celebrity sneakerhead Teyana Taylor. Taylor tried to show off her basketball skills in a pair of fresh Wolf Grey Air Jordan 3s. But unfortunately failed at that attempt after getting crossed up by pro basketball trainer Dribble2Much. Memes were created almost instantly and Twitter was in an uproar as retweets of the video clip filled up timelines nationwide. Luckily Teyana hasn't lost any respect, but she'll probably never be expected to step in the paint again.
