This holiday season is filled with great sneaker releases from all of the great brands. Nike Basketball has a few releases up their sleeves that are sure to be solid pickups for sneakerheads. On their list for the Nike Basketball "Christmas" Collection are signature sneakers from three of their biggest basketball superstars: Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and LeBron James. There is a new colorway of the Nike Kobe 8 System sneaker, the KD VI as well as the LeBron 11 sneaker. The Christmas season is upon us and with such fire coming from Jordan Brand with the Taxi 12's, Gamma 12's and the Gamma Blue 11's as well as Nike Christmas releases, it's good to see adidas in the mix. adidas brings holiday shoppers, and sneakerheads alike, a new colorway of the Crazy 8 entitled "Nightmare Before Christmas".
Lakers fans, basketball fans and competitors all over the world tuned in to NBA TV 9pm EST to see the return of the Black Mamba. By now, everyone is aware of Kobe Bean Bryant's season-ending achilles rupture and the effect it had on the Los Angeles Lakers organization. Sports news broadcasters deemed Kobe's return breaking news a few days ago and as expected, the world was watching. Though he put up a sub-par performance, based on Kobe's own standards of excellence and dominance, of just 9 points, 4 assists and a few rebounds, it was the shoes that he laced up in that sneakerheads were paying attention to.

The upcoming colorways include a gamma blue & total orange, obsidian & red violet as well as a black/reflective colorway. These sneakers are in stores NOW and retailing for $110. Dressed in the Oklahoma City Thunder's alternate navy blue and grey jerseys, Kevin Durant laced up in an exclusive colorway of his latest signature sneaker. KD put on a show, along with the rest of his teammates, against the Sacramento Kings in a metallic silver and navy blue KD VI's. KD racked up a solid double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds against the Kings in the sleek colorway. Check out more pictures of KD in the latest sneakers after the break.
Oh the joys of being a rap superstar! Toronto's and October's Very Own, Drake, took a page out of Justin Timberlake's book from this summer. As Justin did, Drake has a couple special tour sneakers from Jordan Brand. For his "Nothing Was The Same" tour, Drake rocks two pairs of Air Jordan XII sneakers. One is an all white colorway with gold accents throughout and OVO on the sole of the sneaker. The other sneaker is an all black colorway of the sneaker. Hopefully we'll get a few more looks at the sneaker in the coming days.
Trinidad James hasn't had the best fall season career wise. His beef with Maino and NY rappers plus his Tim Westwood freestyle have hurt his stock. After the long suspense, Nike has finally revealed the Kobe 9. The future looks mighty bright with this one! Before you speak on the aesthetics, you have to appreciate the technology the shoe boasts. Kobe will be hitting the court in a lightweight, hi top sneaker equipped with Flyknit and Flywire for comfort and support. Think of this shoe on a LeBron type player? Talk about unfair.

Concepts and Nike SB are feeling the holiday spirit. Just in time for Christmas the Nike SB presents the “Ugly Christmas Sweater” Pack. The pack features two colorways; a black and a gray pair. The black colorway features gold patent leather for the Swoosh complemented by a translucent gold sole. The grey colorway features green patent leather Swooshes with green outsoles to match. Both pair feature the snowman pattern, with mistletoe and snowflakes. Both pairs also sport Concepts-branded tongues and insoles. Mark your calendar, this pack is set to release December 7th. Its Kobe day! The Nike Kobe 9 is set to be revealed sometime today, so it’s only right to introduce the Nike Zoom Kobe Prelude pack. The pack is arguably the best colorway renderings of each previous Kobe sneaker leading up to the 9th edition. While there are no details as far as pack availability, the support Kobe is receiving from Nike is tremendous. For now, which retro interests you the most?
