It's been 25 years since Reebok Pump hit the sneaker scene and it's all the reason for a celebration. And what better way to celebrate than with a good old fashion collab? Major DC will pair up with Reebok to create the Reebok Pump 25. Luckily, they gave us a sneak peek of what to expect from the sneaker until it's release on September 13, 2014. We'll keep you posted if any new information surfaces.
I can't speak for everyone, but I usually don't find an interest in any Air Jordan in the series after the 19s. The AAir Jordan XX9, however has given me a change of heart. The "Team Orange" sneaker has elephant print and a larger than usual Jumpman logo. The shoe's original design caters to performance, but it's cl ear that it will be worn in a casual style. Retailing for $225, expect these on shelves on September 6, 2014.
Despite popular belief, media reports and the hopes of Retro Jordan enthusiasts, the Air Jordan VI "First Championship" sneaker will not be releasing any time soon. The "First Championship" VI's surfaced less than a month ago but have gained considerable attention in that short span of time. Jordan Brand took to their Twitter page to let fans know that although the colorway that has been dubbed the "First Championship" does exist it was merely for a "special project" and Jordan Brand has no plans of releasing the sneaker at this time. In short, keep clamoring for the sneaker and you might end up with a release in this colorway in the next year or so. Check out more pictures and let us know what you think about the sneaker.
For the year 2015, we can expect a Air Jordan line of remastered retros. Among the remastered will be the Air Jordan 4 "Columbia". The overall quality of the shoe will be upgraded from it's 1999 release. However, the remastered pairs aren't remastered for free. These particular pairs will retail for more than the usual retro release. Some believe they'll retail for over $200 rather than the normal $150-$180 price range (sheesh!). As more information comes in, SneakerThirst will keep you posted.
I know what you're thinking: "After all these years of watching Youtube tutorials, buying extra toothbrushes and shoe cleaning supplies from foot locker, now it's 'OK' for my kicks to be dirty?!" Welp, believe it. Adidas is changing the game with the Original ZX 750 the "Mud". What appears to be an all white shoe gone wrong is really the creative juices flowing in the Adidas design department. I mean, who knows? Maybe other sneaker companies will follow this example. Available now at Adidas.
The hottest kicks of the year are hitting shelves near you! Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating. They may not be the hottest, but we must give props to Country/Pop star Taylor Swift on launching her own sneakers with the Keds company. The "Sneaky Cat" sneakers are Champion styled Keds with an all black upper, obviously featuring a suspicious looking cat on it's outter side. They also feature a locket-like golden heart and golden tips on the shoe strings. The shoes are a promotional release to go with her new album. Kudos to you, Taylor. Hopefully, Kanye will let you finish this time.
The Nike Air Max Plus has been a sneakerhead favorite since its first release. Now we get a glimpse at it in a colorway without color, all white. Referred to as the “Casper” on most sneaker outlets, it’s milky overlay gives it a ghastly look—hence the name. Unfortunately, these are only available in Australian Footlockers at the moment. But stay tuned for the American release.
Not too long ago, SneakerThirst showed you rapper/actor Drake’s Jordan PEs that he would wear on his Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour. Now the Toronto-bred star has been spotted with yet another pair. Sneak peek photos from Nicki Minaj’s Anaconda video have been floating around the internet. Featured in those photo is Drake, wearing a pair of never seen before Air Jordan 3 PEs. The photos aren’t close up, so it’s hard to go into detail about the sneaker, but it appears to use shades of grey black and white throughout sneaker. As more information about these kicks rolls in, SneakerThirst will keep you posted.
Arriving to select retailers this month is none other than a new addition from Puma. They've taken a nod from the signature "All Black Everything" slogan and incorporated that into one of their sneakers. The PUMA Challenge Advantage Mid "Black" contains the makeup of a luxury sneaker as it contains the black suede toe that leads to the black leather upper and tongue. The gold detailing on the lace tips, branding along the outside of the upper portion of the sneaker as well as a gum bottom also help to boost the luxury theme. The price however is quite affordable. The PUMA Challenge Advantage Mid "Black" is available at select Puma retailers for the price of $90. Be sure to check with your local retailers to cop your pair and hit past the flip for more images.
